About the event
Forest Fridays are a place-based, Earth centered program for students 5-12 years of age. Classes are held 80-90% of the day outside at Chrysalis Farms, a 33 acre farm to forest with walking trails, gardens, and native ecosystems. We have access to a one room schoolhouse with a cookstove, woodfire stove, composting toilet and running water.
Students learn from a range of seasonal topics, and more information regarding curriculum and a sample of the day can be found in our Family Guidebook. You can learn more about our teaching philosophy in the Guidebook as well!
These classes are held four Fridays a month, but please check the calender for holidays and the occasional five Fridays in a month. If you would like to pay seasonally (three months) or for the full school term (9 1/2 months), please contact Teacher Juniper via email to inquire.
