About the event
Forest Fridays are a place-based, Earth centered program for students 5-12 years of age. Classes are held 80-90% of the day outside at Cascara Forest Farms, a 20 acre farm to forest with walking trails, gardens, and native ecosystems. We have access to a one room schoolhouse with a cookstove, woodfire stove, composting toilet and running water.
Students learn from a range of seasonal topics, and more information regarding curriculum and a sample of the day can be found in our Family Guidebook. You can learn more about our teaching philosophy in the Guidebook as well!
These classes are held four Fridays a month, and you can register for either all four days, or half time of two days. Please make sure when you are registering you purchase the correct ticket -you will have the ticket option for four days or two days so please double check at that step!…
